Coating
Cereal flakes and crunchy cereals can be coated in syrup to give them taste, a shiny appearance and a crisp texture after which they are dried in an oven.
The syrups can be made with honey, or sweet syrups from wheat, rice or barley malt.
Cocoa, milk chocolate or other ingredients are then added for additional flavor.
